Overview

The Informatics Nurse Applications Analyst serves as the technical and clinical Health Informatics subject matter expert for the clinical applications. The Nurse Applications Analyst supports the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Children's Mercy and Information Technology. The Nurse Applications Analyst manages projects and programs in the nursing area they are assigned and assists with more complex projects. They maintain and provide technical support for assigned clinical applications. The Informatics Nurse Applications Analyst is a liaison to the nursing care delivery teams and develops, implements, and effectively uses clinical technologies to enhance patient care. They collaborate to positively impact patient safety and care quality.

This role requires an incumbent live in the KC area. The work is remote, but employees will be required to come on-site for meetings or work. This is a daytime, Monday - Friday role, but will require some exception as department needs arise. This role also requires occasional on-call duty.

Epic experience and/or certification preferred.

  • Serves as a Health Informatics resource for ambulatory clinical departments
  • Project and Program Management
  • Integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to improve clinical systems for patient care safety, quality, efficacy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree BSN Required and 3-5 years' experience. Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • ANCC Board Certification - Informatics Nursing Preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Epic Certification required within 120 days of hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $35.91/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
