• Act as a direct clinician, offering assessment, individual, family, and group therapy tailored to clients experiencing major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals, focusing on client-centered care while respecting varied cultural backgrounds and personal beliefs.
• Develop and implement integrated care plans, facilitating access to necessary services and ensuring communication among clients, their families, and various service providers.
• Conduct thorough assessments, both brief and detailed, based on evidence-supported methodologies, while identifying client needs for additional resources.
• Monitor treatment progress and adapt therapy methods to ensure that clients are engaged in their recovery journey effectively.
• Participate actively in on-call duties to support crises as they arise, demonstrating agility and responsiveness to client needs.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and ensure compliance with organizational policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory standards.

The focus of this role encompasses a diverse array of clients within the Detox Center, primarily individuals coping with substance use disorders and associated mental health conditions. As such, your expertise in behavioral health and crisis intervention will be essential in guiding clients through their treatment process, helping them navigate their challenges, and empowering them to make positive life changes.

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field, demonstrating your extensive educational background in social work principles.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats, allowing for clear interaction with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational and planning skills that enable effective multitasking and client management.
• Demonstrated capacity to address age-related and specialty issues pertinent to the varied populations served.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred, particularly in settings focused on mental health or substance use.
