You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, all dedicated to fostering effective treatment pathways for our clients.

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and presenting issues.
• Creating personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and underlying psychological health, incorporating goals and specific therapeutic interventions.
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, to enhance clients’ coping skills and self-efficacy.
• Working in conjunction with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop coordinated care plans and enhance resource sharing for optimal client outcomes.
• Providing education and support for clients' families, encouraging their involvement in the recovery process and educating them on addiction-related issues.
• Maintaining compliance with all regulations and documentation standards by keeping accurate and timely records of client progress and treatment activities.

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, and other drug dependencies, as well as clients facing co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions. By employing a compassionate and client-centered approach, you will help clients build life skills essential for maintaining sobriety and improving overall mental health.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid license as either an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD. Additionally, the following qualifications are essential:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in addiction counseling or a focused specialization in substance abuse treatment.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance use disorders and concurrent mental health issues.
• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills with a strong ability to inspire and motivate clients towards positive change.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
