Job description

Position Purpose:
Applies statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical and qualitative data to provide usable information.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes program data using statistical and relational database software.
  • Designs, produces, analyzes and debugs routine data reports for all levels of staff.
  • Reports results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, tables, and written reports using statistical, spreadsheet and/or word-processing software.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the contents, limitations, and potential uses of all available data sets relevant to assigned task areas.
  • Develops documentation for all analyses to include storage location of all files (i.e., program code, data sets, output); thoroughly documents program code and monitors use of disk storage, archiving data sets when not in use.
  • Collaborates with others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.
  • May review sampling and extrapolation methodologies employed by other contractors to determine if analyses were appropriate, correct, and replicable.
  • May present results of analysis to large external groups requiring preparation of presentation materials (using PowerPoint) and public speaking, or may write results of analysis in journal article format for peer-reviewed or other external publications.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, statistics, economics, natural science or a related discipline

Experience
  • One (1) year data analysis
  • Medicare Part C related appeals activities, preferred
  • Resided in the United States for a minimum of three (3) years out of the last five (5) years (Per Contract Requirement)
