The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a subject matter expert for outpatient CDI you will:
  • Product Strategy & Vision
    • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for outpatient CDI solutions aligned with organizational goals and market needs
    • Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends, regulatory changes (e.g., CMS guidelines), and customer feedback
    • Provide product P & L and growth projections to leadership
    • Serve as the subject matter expert in outpatient CDI workflows, risk adjustment, HCC capture, and coding compliance
  • Product Development & Execution
    • Translate business requirements into product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
    • Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality product releases
    • Prioritize backlog based on client needs, ROI, and strategic objectives
    • Oversee the efforts with product owners and development teams to define, prioritize and lead execution of the product roadmap
    • Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning
    • Oversee and direct product documentation, training, and implementation requirements for internal stakeholders
  • Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
    • Collaborate with clinical, coding, sales, and customer success teams to define product requirements
    • Engage directly with clients (CDI specialists, coders, physicians) to gather insights and validate solutions
    • Support sales efforts with product demonstrations, RFP responses, and thought leadership
    • Oversee and direct Solution Advisor activities in collaboration with Solution Advisor Manager
  • Regulatory & Compliance Leadership
    • Ensure product alignment with outpatient documentation standards, CMS regulations, and payer requirements
    • Monitor industry changes affecting outpatient CDI, including risk adjustment models and ambulatory quality measures
    • Incorporate compliance best practices into product design
    Performance & Analytics
    • Define KPIs and success metrics (e.g., query rates, HCC capture, provider response time)
    • Analyze product usage and outcomes to drive continuous improvement
    • Leverage data to identify gaps and inform roadmap priorities.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for candidates who must (at a minimum) have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND Seven (7) years of experience in product management, CDI, coding or healthcare technology. Strong knowledge of outpatient CDI, ICD-10-CM coding, HCC risk adjustment, quality risk methodologies. CRC and ambulatory workflows. Demonstrated experience delivering software products in an agile environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and fourteen (14) years of healthcare experience focus on revenue cycle with either CRC and OP CDI credentials.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Master's degree in health information systems (HIS), health policy, or hospital administration (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of experience working in healthcare risk adjusted market payer/provider needs
  • OP CDI/Coder certifications: CPC, CDIP, RHIA, CCS
  • Developed Outpatient CDI program for healthcare organization
  • Understanding and familiarity with the US health care industry
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to work well within a team across internal/external stakeholders
  • Familiarity of Solventum CDI and Coding products.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $143,200 - $196,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
