Job Summary

The Pricing Operations Lead owns the end-to-end pricing process — price list management, strategy implementation to deal desk support and pricing analytics. This role ensures pricing decisions are consistent, compliant, and aligned with company margin and growth targets, while partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain pricing systems, price books, and discount frameworks across product assortment.
  • Manage the deal desk function: review and approve price deviation requests and quote inquiries.
  • Partner with Product and Finance to design, test, and roll out pricing models and process changes.
  • Monitor performance metrics (discount leakage, margin erosion) and report insights to leadership.
  • Build and maintain dashboards/reporting for price realization, discount trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure pricing governance and compliance — approval workflows, audit trails, and documentation.
  • Assist in gathering competitive and market pricing intel to inform strategy.
  • Train and support Sales teams on pricing policies, tools, and exception processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in pricing, revenue operations, sales operations, or finance, ideally in B2B environment.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel/Sheets, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills — able to work with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product.
  • Detail-oriented with strong process and governance mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP and CPQ systems (e.g. Infor, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Experience with Pricing Optimization tools (e.g. Revenue Analytics, PROS, Zilliant, or similar) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for advanced analysis.
