  • You will serve as a PRODUCTION MANAGER in the Columbia Class, Project Offices or Early Construction Manager of the Construction and Repair Division of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON.
  • You will oversee the organization's strategic plan, schedule, budget management planning, reporting and execution of the authority for construction, outfitting, and test of the Motor Module activities as delegated by PMS397.
  • You will monitor EBC's program performance and progress.
  • You will manage, track, or execute project lifecycle phases (such as design, construction, outfitting, testing, or dry-dock refits/availabilities) to monitor program performance against cost, schedule, and scope parameters.
  • You will coach the team in the selection and application of problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
  • You will lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload.
  • You will provide technical direction to project teams, and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and occupational specialization, instructing team members on safety, quality standards, or work control processes.
  • You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met.
  • You will review and analyze all formal documentation associated with the Motor Module detail design, construction and test phases, and comparable documentation for design support contracts, and related programs.
  • You will review EB generated Change Notification Reports (CN), Problem Sheets (PS) and respective level of Assembly (LOA) for overall design and production engineering impact and action.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
GS-13: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Overseeing design, construction, test, and logistic support efforts for submarines.
GS:12:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Coordinating test operations, activities, or functions for submarine systems, subsystems, or component test program to meet operational requirements.

PAY SCALE:
GS-12: $98,630 - $128,221
