Job description

Why This Role Matters

At Greenbox Capital, we are here to transform how small businesses access capital. Doing that requires building products that automate underwriting, streamline operations, and ultimately move us toward true instant decisioning. As a Lead Product Manager, you will not wait for requirements — you will shape them. This role demands technical curiosity, hands-on problem solving, and a deep respect for craftsmanship as you turn ambiguous ideas into clear, testable, and scalable product solutions.
You will be expected to move from uninformed simplicity, to informed complexity, and ultimately to informed simplicity, bringing structure and clarity at every stage.

What You’ll Do

  • Build features that automate underwriting and operational workflows, accelerating our path to instant decisioning.
  • Prototype early and often — mapping workflows, testing concepts, and creating lightweight validations before engineering commits time.
  • Explore systems, datasets, and operational processes with curiosity to understand constraints and opportunities.
  • Drive the roadmap with urgency, technical insight, and clear communication.
  • Partner closely with engineering, underwriting, operations, and analytics teams throughout discovery and build cycles.
  • Support launches with documentation, training, and internal enablement.
  • Analyze product performance, identify root causes, and iterate quickly — owning the outcome of a release.

What Success Looks Like

  • Features you deliver materially improve conversion, speed to decision, and workflow efficiency.
  • You bring clarity, thoughtful design, and well-structured execution to every initiative. You drive both business alignment and technical work break down with grace and ease.
  • Cross-functional partners, including technology, rely on you to simplify complexity and surface the right solution paths.
  • You identify edge cases early and prevent unnecessary rework.
  • Your products are intuitive, operationally grounded, and adopted quickly.

You’ll Be a Strong Fit If

  • You are a builder who naturally prototypes, diagrams systems, tests logic, and validates ideas hands-on.
  • You work directly with data, workflows, and underwriting processes to understand real-world constraints.
  • You collaborate easily with engineers, analysts, underwriters, and operators and think in systems rather than isolated features.
  • Ambiguity motivates you — you create structure where little exists.
  • You balance attention to detail with the ability to move quickly when needed.
  • You communicate clearly and operate confidently in high-stakes conversations with senior leaders.

What You’ve Done Before

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager in fintech, lending, payments, or similarly complex operational environments.
  • Owned products or big features from concept through prototype, build, launch, and iteration.
  • Designed workflows, decisioning logic, or system interactions that improved operational efficiency.
  • Led vendor evaluations, integrations, or automation initiatives.
  • Ideally, have exposure to lending operations, credit risk, and underwriting.

Tools & Expertise You Bring

  • Strong product requirements writing and systems thinking.
  • Comfort with analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Amplitude, Sigma, Looker, or Databricks; SQL to ensure self service to data is a plus.
  • Experience selecting and implementing critical vendors that overhaul workflows and drive automation.
  • Expert with SDLC tools including Azure DevOps, Jira, Linear, or Shortcut.

What to Expect from Our Interview Process

  1. Initial Phone Screen – 30 minutes
  2. Hiring Manager Interview – 1 hour
  3. Role-Specific Assessment or Panel Interview – 1 hour
  4. Final Interview or Leadership Chat – 1 hour
  5. Offer & Background Check

We aim to complete the process in 2–3 weeks.
