Job description

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications and in partnership with senior leaders, the Senior Internal Communication Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategic internal communication plans that enhance employee engagement, foster a positive organizational culture, and support our mission and goals. This includes communications planning and management, coordination, writing and editing for employee communications including announcements, executive communications, meeting presentations and support, and management of and content development for Rogers' intranet. This role supports content development for other MarCom needs as requested. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in corporate communications, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies to support organizational objectives and enhance employee engagement.
  • Create and manage content for various internal communication channels, including the intranet and other internal communication platforms.
  • Collaborate with executive and department leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and/or manage internal communications during organizational changes, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive, department, and team leaders.
  • Understand and provide guidance to organizational leaders and employees on Rogers' audiences and communication channels.
  • Plan, develop, and monitor content for the employee intranet. Collaborate with internal teams to research story ideas and interview subject matter experts.
  • Monitor communications metrics across internal channels including the intranet and demonstrate measurable goal achievement.
  • Support internal meeting needs including creating presentations, proposing content, and facilitating virtual meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to Rogers' style guidelines and strategy alignment. Support external-facing material development as requested.
  • Provide support for crisis communications as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality and abide by Rogers' Code of Conduct in the development and distribution of all internal communications.

Additional Job Description:
Education/Training Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, organizational development, human resources, or related field preferred, with minimum of seven (7) years related experience.
  • Proficiency in and enthusiasm for internal/corporate communications.
  • Expertise in creating written, oral, and electronic communications to achieve internal communications goals.
  • Excellent vocabulary, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft software required; familiarity with design software for editing desirable.
  • Understanding of healthcare and behavioral health preferred but not required.
  • This is a remote role; however onsite work will be required at times.
