Our outpatient psychiatry office in Munford, Tennessee, specializes in serving ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. This is a full-time remote position with the flexibility to adapt to the distinct needs of our patients. The general work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though some variability may be required based on patient appointments. You will be part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other counselors, fostering collaboration and shared expertise to provide exceptional patient care.

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments using culturally sensitive approaches to evaluate patients' concerns, needs, and backgrounds.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to fit the patient’s cultural context.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a variety of mental health issues, helping clients build resilience and improve coping strategies.
• Engage in crisis intervention when immediate support is needed, employing techniques that ensure the safety and well-being of clients during emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, fostering empowerment and understanding.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members during case conferences and meetings, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for all clients.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation compliant with ethical standards and legal regulations.
• Participate in ongoing cultural competency training, staying updated with current mental health research and best practices specific to diverse populations.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minority backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and first-generation immigrants. Your role will involve understanding the unique challenges faced by these groups, and applying inclusive practices that empower clients to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
• A solid understanding of mental health disorders, various therapeutic modalities, and culturally responsive practices.
• Proven experience in providing culturally sensitive therapy in individual and group settings, addressing diverse needs effectively.
• Strong crisis intervention skills to manage challenging situations sensitively and calmly.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport with a wide range of clients.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital platforms.
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

• At least two years of post-graduate experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on multicultural counseling.
• Experience in developing and leading group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops.
• Ongoing professional development or training related to trauma-informed care and cultural competency.
