The Allied Health Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to enhance our outpatient therapy services. • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to ascertain their mental health conditions and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, employing individual and group therapy formats based on client needs.
• Provide clients with practical tools and coping strategies to navigate their mental health challenges effectively.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or nutritionists, for integrated care when referrals are needed.

In this role, you will interact with a diverse array of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele may include individuals dealing with severe psychological disturbances, those recovering from substance use issues, as well as individuals seeking personal growth and enrichment. The opportunity to work with various demographics will enhance your clinical skills and broaden your therapeutic practice.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of four years of post-graduate experience delivering mental health services in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidenced through hands-on application of best practices and treatment modalities.
• Profound crisis intervention skills, with the ability to de-escalate high-stress situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technology.

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy with a proven track record of effective client outcomes.
• Demonstrated competence in culturally responsive practices to cater to clients' unique backgrounds and needs.
• Previous involvement in multidisciplinary teams and collaborative treatment planning.
