  • Partner with account and growth teams to identify organic growth opportunities, shape scopes of work, support new business pitches, and commercialize new social strategy offerings.

Client & Cross-Agency Partnership

  • Serve as the senior social strategy lead across a portfolio of healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences clients.
  • Provide executive-level counsel on social ecosystem strategies, channel strategies, content frameworks, launch plans, paid/organic integration, and measurement.
  • Strengthen relationships with senior clients, account leaders, and cross-functional agency partners, ensuring Social Strategy is seen as a trusted, proactive, and high-value discipline.
  • Guide clients on the role of social within the broader omnichannel mix promoting awareness, education, engagement, behavior change, community connection, and measurable business impact.

Emerging Capabilities

You are expected to actively develop and embed the following capabilities within the social strategy practice:

  • AEO & GEO: Expanding the agency's approach to Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization ensuring brand and disease education content is structured, authoritative, and surfaced accurately in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.
  • NLP-Powered Insights: Partner with the in-house NLP capability to translate social listening, call center transcripts, and patient language datasets into applicable insight for CX journey mapping and GEO content optimization.
  • Social as GEO Input: Architect social content strategies that contribute to the broader web corpus AI engines draw from ensuring brand voice is represented in generated health answers.
  • Influencer & KOL Strategy: Build and manage patient and HCP influencer programs, including vetted creator networks and FTC/FDA-compliant paid partnerships.

Platform & Innovation

  • Maintain senior-level knowledge of major and new social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, and latest creator-led environments.
  • Advance agency capabilities through new frameworks, tools, training, thought leadership, innovation pilots, and scalable approaches to strategic excellence.
  • Stay ahead of the convergence of social search, AI-generated answers, and traditional SEO translating emerging trends into actionable strategy for clients.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Experience

  • 8-12+ years in social media, digital strategy, engagement strategy, or integrated marketing with depth in healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences.
  • 5+ years leading a social, digital, or engagement strategy function, team, or practice within an agency setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, life sciences, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Track record identifying growth opportunities, expanding client relationships, contributing to new business, and shaping scopes of work.
