About Us
Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We deliver secure, high-quality language access in 80+ spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.
We are seeking Mongolian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Mongolian, spoken in Mongolia and parts of northern China, is a rare but critical Central Asian language often needed in asylum and immigration proceedings.
Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time Mongolian ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum cases.
  • Interpret accurately, impartially, and with professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality under USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
  • Support both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation needs.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in Mongolian and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, community, legal, or government strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality standards.
  • Cultural understanding of Mongolian-speaking communities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
