Job description

The Operational Audit - Quality Audit Analyst audits financial and statistical cost reporting data to help determine provider reimbursement rates for Medicaid claims processing. The role prepares and signs off on tentative and final cost settlements and performs on-site field audits of children's hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tentative and final cost settlements for hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers.
  • Audit financial and statistical data to verify accuracy and monitor compliance with government procedures.
  • Apply compliance rules and regulations to recommend adjustments to provider financial data or changes to provider policies and procedures.
  • Perform on-site audits, which may require travel.
  • Complete reconciliations for FQHC quarterly wrap payments.

Location: Austin, TX and Dallas, TX. Primarily remote; up to 10% travel may be required for onsite audits.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in auditing or reviewing and preparing financial statements.

Preferred Skills:
  • 6 months of Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, or related field.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze and assess financial information.
  • Ability to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
