Silicon Sensing Systems, Ltd. a Collins Aerospace joint venture, is seeking a Sales Manager to support the company in growing its inertial products business in the US, Canada and South America.   The Sales Manager will report directly to the Business Development Manager in the U.S. 

Silicon Sensing Systems, Ltd., is an established and successful high-tech MEMS inertial sensor and systems company with locations in the UK and Japan.  It specializes in the development and manufacture of precision gyroscopes, accelerometers and inertial measurement units (IMUs) for the commercial, industrial and aerospace markets. 

This is a REMOTE role with a strong preference for the selected candidate to be based on the east coast.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify and develop new sales leads, prepare winning proposals and close major sales prospects

  • Engage with new and prospective customers to understand their requirements and qualify both the short- and long-term opportunities for Silicon Sensing

  • Collect the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and liaise with internal engineering and project teams to ensure new product developments cater for market needs

  • Analyze markets, e.g. size, location, trends, etc.

  • Contribute to the general brand awareness and promotion

  • Develop a working knowledge of relevant industry and competitor activity

  • Assist with business forecasting and planning

  • Liaise with staff in the U.K. and Japan

  • Travel up to 75% – frequent domestic and occasional international travel to support customer visits and to represent the company at trade shows and conferences as part of the sales team.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage work independently, maintain confidence in decision‑making, and collaborate effectively with others.

  • Proven commercial awareness and a track record of achieving substantial business development outcomes, ideally within an international engineering environment such as electronics or sensors.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is preferred.

  • Experience of working with or selling inertial sensors or selling navigation sensors or systems, or have a working knowledge of navigation, guidance or pointing systems from one of the following:

  • Avionics

  • Defense

  • Marine

  • Space

  • Surveying

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
