Job description

Software Engineer – Smallworld (GIS)
Purpose: Customize and maintain GE Smallworld GIS (Core, PNI, GSS) used as the network model backbone for ADMS / DERMS.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and extend Smallworld Magik applications and data schemas.
Build data interfaces (FME, Python, REST APIs) between Smallworld and ADMS / DERMS / Work Management Systems.
Implement custom workflows, tracing, schematic diagrams, and QA validations.
Support upgrades (Core 5.x → 6.x, migration to GridOS GIS).
Create map services and visualizations for planning and outage operations.
Conduct QA/QC on spatial data quality, coordinate conversions, and topology integrity.
