We are seeking a highly experienced GIS Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise geospatial solutions. This role involves providing architectural oversight for GIS platforms, integrating GIS with enterprise systems, and supporting web and mobile GIS applications across various domains. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GIS technologies, strong solution design skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
.Role Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design:
• Define and implement GIS architectural strategies, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with enterprise IT standards.
• Lead the design of enterprise GIS platforms, including system integrations, data flows, and services architecture.
• Experience in design, develop, and deploy GIS applications and tools using Python, including web-mapping applications, data processing pipelines, and automation scripts.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management-Experience to develop and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and EKS for data storage, processing, and application hosting.
• Spatial Data Handling- Experience to work with geospatial data formats (vector, raster) and manage enterprise geodatabases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle) for efficient spatial data storage and retrieval.
• Experience in Automating GIS workflows using Python libraries (e.g., GDAL, GeoPandas, ArcPy) and perform advanced spatial analysis, including clustering, spatial regression applications.
• Support deployment and performance tuning of GIS servers, portals, and geodatabases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements of GIS solutions.
Integration & Enterprise Collaboration:
• Architect API-based integrations, including RESTful and SOAP services, across GIS and enterprise platforms.
• Work closely with infrastructure, database, and cloud teams to ensure secure and efficient deployments.
Team Guidance & Best Practices:
• Provide architectural direction to GIS developers, analysts, and testers across projects.
• Establish and enforce coding, deployment, and design standards across the GIS delivery pipeline.
• Collaborate with business, PMO, and delivery teams to plan GIS roadmaps and solution scaling.
• Participate in review and sign-off of high-level and low-level GIS technical designs.
Salary Range $140,000-$160,000 Per year
