Dedication and commitment to quality and process improvement have led Avineon to achieve industry certifications including CMMI Maturity Level 3 (SCAMPI Class A Appraisal) Job Description: Avineon is looking for hands-on Utility Consultant who is detail-oriented and passionate about building scalable, sustainable solutions while designing targeted strategies for a range of utility customers in water, wastewater, stormwater, electric, gas, and telecommunications.

The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with customers and other team members.The successful candidate will work with our sales team, customers, project managers, technical resources, and partners. The Utility Consultant must be proficient in the ArcGIS platform and specifically the Utility Network Management features. The candidate will provide expertise for developing customer specific approaches and roadmaps for the successful design and deployment of custom and configurable utility and GIS solutions in support of client initiatives.

Overseeing and contributing to the development of system documentation and training materials for solutions and applications along with end-user training and support assistance may be included in these responsibilities. Responsibilities may include tasks to: Conduct needs assessments and gather business requirements from utility stakeholders. Develop strategies and recommendations for GIS optimization and adoption, including integrations with other operational systems.

Assist with planning and implementation of solutions and services in an Esri environment. Collaborate with customers, sales team, project managers, technical resources, and partners. Develop and document operational procedures, best practices, and standard operating processes.

Assist with preparing training materials and delivering hands-on training. Support proposal writing, RFP responses, and client presentations. Identify opportunities for additional consulting services within existing accounts.

Utilize Agile and Scrum methodologies to self-organize, track progress, and update status of projects. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have expertise in Utility Network implementations and understand the needed configurations and/or customizations of the system to meet a customer's business requirements. Hands-on technical experience is preferred.

Preferred experience includes: Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS products Experience and certification in the Esri Utility Network Experience in project management Ability to translate customer requirements in technology solutions using the Esri platform and Utility Network Management solutio Understanding of packaging and promoting builds across development, test, and production environment Troubleshooting issues and making recommendation Conceptual understanding and ideally experience with multi-tiered system architectures including server roles, network communications, and network security measures (firewalls, proxy, VPN, etc. Four-year university/college degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, Geography, or related field or equivalent skills and experience Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
