Description

SAIC is seeking a Future Concepts Developer located in Pearl City, Hawaii to support PACOM to develop strategic and operational concepts for a 4-star staff. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Conduct in-depth research on military strategies, doctrines, and emerging trends to gather relevant information for concept development.
  • Analyze and synthesize complex data to create well-informed and effective military concepts tailored to USINDOPACOM’s mission.
  • Produce high-quality written materials, including concept papers, reports, presentations, and proposals, that clearly communicate complex military concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and edit written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Incorporate feedback from senior leaders and team members to continuously improve the quality of deliverables.
  • Engage with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand their specific needs and objectives. Present and explain military concepts in a clear and persuasive manner, addressing questions and concerns effectively.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience in military concept development, strategic planning, or a similar role within the military or defense industry.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable concepts.
  • Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and software applications to support concept development.
  • In-depth understanding of military doctrines, strategies, and geopolitical trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge to concept development.
  • Experience working within a 4-star staff environment is highly preferred.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TSSCI.
  • Must be a current US Citizen. 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
