Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct in-depth research and analysis on regional political environments, legislations, regulatory regimes and economic trajectories across North America;

2. Continuously track client-relevant legislative, regulatory and policy amendments, and evaluate their potential strategic implications for businesses;

3. Identify latent risks, market opportunities and multi-stakeholder interest dynamics to inform customized client advisory frameworks;

4. Combine desk research with targeted outreach to government authorities, industrial entities and relevant stakeholders for field investigations;

5. Independently develop formal deliverables including analytical reports, policy briefings, memorandums, presentation decks and meeting minutes;

6. Support business development initiatives by drafting cooperation proposals, background dossiers and client-facing communication materials;

7. Virtually participate in client consultations, industry roundtables and external exchanges, and represent the firm at events when required;

8. Curate industry, policy and market intelligence to continuously upgrade the company's internal knowledge base.

Qualifications & Requirements

Professional Experience

1–4 years of relevant working experience. Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds as follows:

- Civil service, statutory bodies and public sector institutions;

- Lobbying, government relations, capital hill staff work,policy advocacy, or related federal affairs roles;

- Strategic communications and corporate PR;

- Political risk and policy consulting.

Core Competencies

- Genuine passion for political and public policy research, with consistent focus on North American market and policy developments;

- Comprehensive understanding of North America's policy and regulatory ecosystem;

- Continuous insights into core verticals: technology, consumer sectors, healthcare, energy, financial services and manufacturing;

- Exceptional research and analytical skills to consolidate and process complex information efficiently;

- Strong multi-tasking and deadline management skills with proven capacity to work independently in a fully remote setting;

- Outstanding interpersonal communication and cross-cultural collaboration capabilities;

- Bachelor's degree or above. Preferred majors include Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration and Law.
