Job description

The Intelligence Analyst IV serves as a senior intelligence and financial investigations Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for leading complex analytical efforts supporting the FBI Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) National Coordination Center (NCC). This position provides advanced intelligence analysis, financial intelligence support, criminal enterprise analysis, data fusion, cryptocurrency investigations, and strategic reporting capabilities in support of Federal law enforcement and national security missions. The Intelligence Analyst IV directly supports efforts to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and prosecute transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), cartel networks, human trafficking organizations, money laundering enterprises, foreign terrorist organizations, and other high-priority criminal threats.
 
The Intelligence Analyst IV applies advanced analytic methodologies and investigative techniques to integrate and evaluate information from multiple law enforcement, intelligence, commercial, financial, and open-source data sources. This position develops actionable intelligence, identifies critical links between criminal and financial networks, and produces strategic intelligence products that support investigative operations, asset seizure efforts, and executive decision-making. The analyst serves as a technical leader and mentor to junior analysts while helping develop innovative approaches to intelligence exploitation, financial investigations, and predictive analysis.
 
The Intelligence Analyst IV routinely supports multi-agency investigations through the exploitation of large-scale datasets, advanced link analysis, cryptocurrency tracing, network mapping, intelligence fusion, and strategic assessments. This individual operates independently within highly complex investigative and intelligence environments and provides expert-level analytical support to FBI personnel, HSI, HSTF leadership, and partner agency stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
 
Experience:
  • Minimum ten (10) years of intelligence analysis, financial investigations, criminal intelligence, law enforcement intelligence, or national security experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex intelligence-driven investigations and multi-agency operations.
  • Experience developing strategic intelligence products, investigative leads, and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets to support operational and strategic objectives.
 
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, National Security Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
Preferred Education:
  • Master's Degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, National Security Studies, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
Preferred Experience:
  • Former FBI, DEA, HSI, IRS-CI, FinCEN, Treasury, Intelligence Community (IC), military intelligence, or other Federal law enforcement experience preferred.
