Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Analyst


Location: Chicago, IL (Primarily Remote – 1 day/month onsite). Candidates must reside in the Chicago area.


SUMMARY:

The Functional Analyst is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective daily operations of the business by leveraging our Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) ERP system. While this position supports the entire D365 FO environment, the ideal candidate must possess a strong functional and technical background and subject matter expertise in the core modules. You will be responsible for system enhancements, managing support activities across various business domains, and driving process optimization enterprise wide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Support and analyze business processes across all key D365 FO functional areas, including Finance, Supply Chain, and Distribution

·        Translate complex business requirements (financial, operational, etc.) into clear, actionable functional specifications for system configuration and development

·        Collaborate with stakeholders across all departments to understand business needs and drive process optimization within D365 FO

·        Configure and customize D365 FO to align with best practices and improve operational efficiency across various modules

·        Collaborate with in-house developer responsible for customizations and advanced technical changes

·        Configure and manage security roles, user permissions, and access controls

·        Manage, prioritize, and resolve support of tickets and system issues related to daily operations in a timely manner

·        Develop, maintain, and provide governance for detailed documentation, including business processes, system configurations, and end-user training materials

·        Work closely with IT and external partners to manage and test system integrations, implement new functionality, and version upgrades

·        Conduct data analysis and report generation to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement

·        Provide expert training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring effective utilization of the D365 FO system

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

·        Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience

·        Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience working directly with Microsoft Dynamics AX (AX 2012) and/or D365 Finance & Operations (FO)

·        Demonstrated strong functional expertise in D365 FO, with a deep focus and proven implementation/support experience in the Finance modules (e.g., General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting)

·        Experience supporting multiple D365 FO functional areas beyond Finance (e.g., Supply Chain, Manufacturing)

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

·        Eligible to work directly for any United_States employer without requiring sponsorship.
