What does a petroleum operations manager do?

A petroleum operations manager oversees the daily activities of oil and gas production facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. They coordinate teams, manage budgets, and optimize operations using industry tools and safety protocols to maximize output and minimize risks.

Can an operations manager be remote?

Yes, many operations managers can work remotely, especially in roles that involve planning, coordination, and communication. However, roles that require physical oversight of facilities or equipment may necessitate on-site presence. Remote work for operations managers often depends on the industry, company policies, and the specific responsibilities of the role.

What does a Remote Fuel Operations Manager do?

A Remote Fuel Operations Manager oversees the procurement, storage, distribution, and monitoring of fuel supplies for an organization, often from a remote location. They coordinate with suppliers, manage logistics, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and use digital tools to monitor fuel usage and inventory levels. Their responsibilities may also include managing budgets, optimizing fuel efficiency, and troubleshooting supply chain issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Who is higher, GM or operations manager?

In most organizations, a General Manager (GM) holds a higher position than an Operations Manager. The GM oversees multiple departments or the entire business unit, while the Operations Manager typically manages daily operational activities within a specific area. The hierarchy can vary by company, but generally, the GM has broader strategic responsibilities.

How does a Remote Fuel Operations Manager typically coordinate with on-site staff to ensure seamless fuel delivery and compliance?

Building strong relationships with on-site supervisors and drivers is essential to quickly resolve logistical challenges and maintain operational efficiency. This role relies heavily on proactive communication and data analysis to ensure that all operations meet company and regulatory requirements.

Remote Fuel Operations Managers typically do not earn $4,000 weekly without relevant experience and industry-specific skills. High-paying roles that can reach this level without a degree often include sales, real estate, or specialized trades, but these usually require certifications or significant experience. Most jobs paying this amount rely on performance, expertise, or commission-based income rather than formal education alone.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Fuel Operations Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Fuel Operations Manager, you need expertise in fuel logistics, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance, often supported by a degree in logistics or related fields. Familiarity with fuel management software, inventory tracking systems, and relevant safety certifications is typically required. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for managing remote teams and coordinating with suppliers. These skills ensure efficient fuel operations, minimize risks, and support seamless supply in challenging or distributed environments.

Job description

BOOST is a small (~50 employee), high-growth government contractor (GovCon) services and SaaS consulting business. Acquired by the Brydon Group private equity firm in December of 2025, BOOST is at an exciting inflection point in its growth trajectory, and we are looking for high-achieving, energetic individuals to accelerate our go-to-market motion.
About the role
We're looking for a Business Operations Specialist to help power the engine behind our go-to-market teams. This role is ideal for someone who loves clean data, tight processes, and turning messy CRM inputs into reliable insights that Sales, Marketing, and Leadership can trust.
You'll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure revenue data is accurate, actionable, and scalable as the business grows so teams can focus on closing deals instead of fixing reports.
This role is ideal for someone with 2-4 years of experience in RevOps, BizOps, or Sales Ops who wants real ownership and room to grow.
What you'll do
  • Own HubSpot CRM hygiene across contacts, companies, and deals
  • Manage and support sales pipelines, stages, and deal accuracy
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports used by Sales and Leadership
  • Monitor funnel performance (conversion rates, pipeline coverage, deal velocity)
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on process improvements and campaign tracking
  • Help document and scale revenue processes as the business grows

What we're looking for
Required Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Business Operations, Sales Operations, or a similar role
  • Advanced HubSpot experience (power user level): reporting, pipelines, workflows, data structure
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, pipelines, and CRM best practices
  • High attention to detail with a bias toward data accuracy and consistency
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Authorized for work in the US

Nice to Have
  • HubSpot certifications (Sales Hub, Marketing Hub, or Operations Hub)
  • Experience supporting forecasting or revenue planning
  • Familiarity with basic SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience in a high-growth or scrappy environment

Why This Role is a Great Opportunity
  • High-impact role with visibility across Sales, Marketing, and Leadership
  • Exposure to high-growth M&A environment
  • Experience influencing CRM/CMS implementation and adoption
  • Opportunity to grow into Senior RevOps, Analytics, or Systems roles
  • Hands-on ownership of core revenue infrastructure
  • Learn how real revenue engines scale-not just theory

Why This Role is a Great Opportunity
  • $65,000-$75,000 base
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Flexible work environment
  • Clear growth path as the company scales
