A petroleum operations manager oversees the daily activities of oil and gas production facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. They coordinate teams, manage budgets, and optimize operations using industry tools and safety protocols to maximize output and minimize risks.

Can an operations manager be remote?

Yes, many operations managers can work remotely, especially in roles that involve planning, coordination, and communication. Remote work for operations managers often depends on the industry, company policies, and the specific responsibilities of the role.

In most organizations, a General Manager (GM) holds a higher position than an Operations Manager.
