The Opportunity:
You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as an IT Business Analyst, you can develop your skills in both. Here, you'll have the chance to work with an Agile team as they develop digital products to support your clients' most pressing missions. We're looking for someone like you to help propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.
As an IT business analyst, you'll work to develop leading-edge applications and products. Working with your team of Developers, DevOps Engineers, UI and UI Designers, Content Specialists, and Project Managers, you'll identify clients' business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You'll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you'll guide your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you'll deliver high business value products to be used enterprise-wide internally at Booz Allen. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You'll Work On:
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and implement Agile best practices across the team.
  • Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs using tools such as Jira.
  • Create and maintain knowledge assets and collaboration artifacts in Confluence.
  • Communicate complex topics clearly to leaders, technical teams, and end-users.
  • Identify and help resolve team-level challenges using strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.
  • Serve as Product Owner for specialized tools, including managing access requests, provisioning workflows, responding to support tickets, and promoting tool usage and adoption.

You Have:
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Jira for requirements and backlog management
  • Experience using Confluence or similar collaboration platforms
  • Ability to problem-solve and remove blockers within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage and support tool workflows and user access
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in a business, project, or requirements analyst role, or a product owner role, Master's degree and 1+ years of experience in a business, project, or requirements analyst role, or a product owner role, or 7+ years of experience in a business, project, or requirements analyst role, or a product owner role in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting or working with MathWorks tools
  • Knowledge of Anaconda Cloud, Box.com, Smartsheet, Mural, or Figma
  • Possession of strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Scrum certifications, such as CSM, CSPO, or related certification
  • SAFe certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
