As a Remote Licensed Professional Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough intake assessments focused on diagnostic and functional evaluations, providing actionable recommendations to primary care providers for effective treatment planning.
• Delivering brief, targeted therapeutic interventions for clients seeking mental health support, ensuring that each session aligns with established Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines.
• Working collaboratively with primary care providers to determine which patients can be managed within the primary care setting and which require referral to specialty mental health services.
• Following up with patients to monitor their progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain open lines of communication regarding their well-being.
• Creating relapse prevention plans for patients as needed, assisting them in stabilizing their condition and promoting long-term wellness.
• Documenting patient progress, treatment plans, and diagnostic information in a clinical record to support continuity of care.
• Providing education and resources to empower clients in participating fully in their treatment processes, including strategies for managing medication side effects.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary team discussions to contribute to behavioral health service improvements and program evaluation recommendations.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• A valid and current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Georgia.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health assessment techniques, treatment planning methodologies, and psychotherapeutic theories.
• Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy practices.
• Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to maintain clinical records and prepare reports for treatment evaluations.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Proficiency in Spanish, enhancing communication with our bilingual client base.
• A well-rounded knowledge of community resources relevant to mental health.

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
