Job description

About Ridepanda

Ridepanda partners with leading employers like Amazon, Google, and OpenAI to offer e-bike and scooter subscriptions as an employee benefit. Our mission is to make commuting fun, healthy, and sustainable - helping more people replace car trips with joyful, everyday rides.

We are building a category-defining, asset-heavy subscription business- and capital efficiency is core to how we scale.

The Role

We're hiring a Head of Finance to own and architect Ridepanda's financial engine as we scale.

This role is highly focused on asset-backed / structured financing - designing and executing capital strategies (e.g., warehouse lines, sale-leasebacks, equipment financing) that allow us to efficiently fund and scale our asset base.

You'll work closely with the CEO and leadership team across ops, growth, and partnerships. This is a hands-on operator role, not just traditional FP&A.

What You'll Do

Capital Strategy & Financing (Core)

  • Own and drive Ridepanda's capital strategy, with a focus on asset-backed / structured financing
  • Structure and execute financing solutions (warehouse lines, sale-leasebacks, equipment financing, etc.)
  • Build and manage relationships with lenders, debt providers, and capital partners
  • Optimize cost of capital, advance rates, and financing terms as we scale
  • Monitor and manage covenants, liquidity, and capital efficiency

Asset & Unit Economics

  • Build and own models across the full asset lifecycle: procurement, deployment, utilization, servicing, and residual value
  • Develop deep understanding of unit economics, payback periods, and cohort performance
  • Partner with ops to improve asset utilization, lifecycle management, and cost efficiency

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning
  • Build and maintain cohort-based and scenario-driven financial models (growth, seasonality, churn, utilization)
  • Drive insights and decision-making across pricing, expansion, and operations

Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Own short- and long-term cash planning (including 13-week cash flow)
  • Align inventory, procurement, and financing strategy to avoid liquidity constraints during growth

Equity & Strategic Finance

  • Support equity fundraising and investor relations as needed
  • Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and new markets

Accounting & Operations

  • Oversee accounting, reporting, and financial operations (in partnership with external/internal resources)
  • Ensure financial rigor as we scale (controls, reporting, systems)
Who You Are
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, with strong exposure to asset-backed / structured finance
  • Experience with warehouse facilities, equipment financing, leasing, or similar asset-heavy models
  • Strong operator mindset- you've built models and executed deals yourself, not just managed teams
  • Deep understanding of unit economics, cohort modeling, and capital efficiency
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on startup environment
  • Ability to translate complex operational dynamics into clear financial strategy and lender narratives

Strong plus:

  • Experience in mobility, fintech, climate, or other asset-heavy businesses
  • Background in structured finance, lending, or relevant roles in IB/PE with direct deal execution
  • Experience scaling a company through rapid growth
Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to build the financial backbone of a fast-growing, asset-heavy business where capital strategy directly drives growth.

You'll play a critical role in helping Ridepanda scale to tens of thousands of riders- and get the next 10% of people in cities onto bikes.

Benefits :
  • Employer-covered healthcare, including medical insurance with 100% premium coverage
  • 401k plan without match
  • Flexible paid time off to prioritize well-being and work-life balance
  • Flexible work arrangements to accommodate individual schedules and priorities
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace culture that values all employees' unique perspectives and talents
  • Yearly company and team off-sites
  • Ridepanda Bike Benefit
