This remote position allows for a flexible work schedule, enabling you to balance your professional and personal life while maintaining high standards of patient care. Though primarily remote, our counselors are expected to engage in regular virtual team meetings and consultations, ensuring seamless collaboration with fellow healthcare providers and participation in organizational initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, utilizing structured interviews and standardized assessment tools to accurately determine clients’ psychological states.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific concerns, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities tailored to each client.
• Provide therapeutic counseling sessions, both individually and in group settings, facilitating discussions that empower clients and foster resilience.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as identified needs evolve, while documenting every session using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure client-centered care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay abreast of developments in mental health treatment and best practices, enhancing clinical skills and fostering professional growth.

This role will focus on a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. Mental health counselors are expected to create a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages open dialogue and trust, accommodating each client’s unique cultural background and personal experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid New York State license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within an outpatient setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work productively with clients from varied backgrounds.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment methodologies and familiarity with best practices in mental health care.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs) and digital communication tools to manage client information and maintain accurate documentation.

• Experience working with diverse populations, including those presenting with co-occurring disorders.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches and culturally competent practices.
• Previous involvement in community outreach activities or programs aimed at mental health awareness and education.

Spring Health Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 95,000 annually, along with a potential sign-on bonus.
