This position is designed for remote work, providing flexibility while remaining an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. Using telehealth platforms, you will connect with clients in real-time, offering support and guidance as they navigate the complexities of their mental health and substance use challenges. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients dealing with substance use and mental health disorders.
• Facilitate individual, couple, and group therapy sessions using proven therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
• Monitor and document client progress, reassess treatment goals as necessary, and modify plans based on clients’ evolving needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services, responding promptly and effectively to clients in acute distress.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with clients’ families and key community service partners to foster holistic care.
• Engage in regular clinical meetings and case reviews to share insights and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in social work and mental health treatment, partaking in continuous education and quality assurance activities.

This role primarily serves clients in a detox center environment, where our focus is on those struggling with addiction and related mental health disorders. You will work with a diverse population, including individuals from various cultural, socio-economic, and age backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs. Successful treatment relies on building rapport and trust with clients, ensuring they feel safe and understood throughout their recovery process.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification in Virginia or the state in which the work is being performed.
• Demonstrated competence in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions, particularly within addiction recovery contexts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• A strong foundation in ethical standards and professional boundaries essential to maintaining client trust and confidentiality.
• Capacity to manage multiple caseloads while adhering to timelines and meeting documentation requirements effectively.

• Experience working with clients in detox or addiction treatment settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methods.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing outcome-based treatment plans tailored to diverse populations.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral processes for comprehensive client support.
