This position is fully remote, allowing counselors to connect with clients from across Georgia via telehealth appointments. The work environment is supported by advanced telecommunications technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring smooth operations and efficient client management. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, in a multidisciplinary team to provide well-rounded care.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and consultations with clients to evaluate their mental health status and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, providing ongoing support and therapeutic tools to empower clients in their journey toward recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress in compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, offering referrals and coordinating care when necessary.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies effectively and maintain a calm demeanor during high-stress situations.

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will involve working with a diverse clientele experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. You will be expected to approach each individual with cultural competence and sensitivity, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences they bring to therapy.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in diverse mental health settings.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders and treatment methodologies, with a commitment to evidence-based practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with a varied client base.
• Proficient in EHR systems and comfortable using computers for clinical documentation and telehealth services.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, utilizing culturally inclusive approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to navigate challenging client situations effectively.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a holistic understanding of client needs.
