Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to manage your schedule effectively while still providing accessible mental health support to clients. Working within our outpatient office framework, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing modern electronic health record (EHR) systems to document interactions and create cohesive treatment plans. This position requires the ability to deliver effective therapy while engaging in virtual sessions with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health status, accommodating for diverse backgrounds and individual needs.
  • Create customized therapeutic plans in partnership with clients, drawing on various evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual's challenges.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, employing both individual and group therapy modalities to promote recovery and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with external healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic treatment that meets clients' broader needs.
  • Utilize crisis intervention skills when necessary, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in potentially high-stress situations.
  • Document all therapy sessions and client interactions accurately in our EHR system, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and confidentiality protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices, evidence-based therapies, and advancements in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a wide-ranging client population, including individuals facing severe mental health issues, those battling substance abuse, and clients struggling with anxiety or depression. Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State is required.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, highlighting your comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention techniques, showcasing your ability to support clients in urgent situations.
  • Experience in implementing evidence-based treatment practices and displaying cultural competence in therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster rapport-building with clients from various backgrounds.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Experience providing assessments, treatment planning, and therapy within outpatient settings.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
