Senior Cloud Engineer
Location:Remote, US
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Responsibilities
  • Act as primary point of contact for system support needs, serving as the cloud technical resource to lead initiatives for adopting secure and high-performance cloud-based solutions, while troubleshooting and resolving performance, connectivity, and related issues.
  • Develop, implement, and manage automation scripts, infrastructure as code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure system security by implementing security best practices, as well as monitoring and supporting the troubleshooting of security incidents.
  • Implement performance improvement and cost reduction of infrastructure, including capacity planning.
  • Evaluate and refine processes, tools, and methodologies to achieve better results.
  • Represent the team by skilled interactions with internal and external clients to inspire confidence, ensure transparency and manage overall expectations.
  • Handling periodic on-call duty and out-of-band requests
Requirements
  • Strong experience working in cloud platforms, such as Azure & AWS, including extensive understanding of networking concepts, such as VPC, DNS, VPN, and WAF.
  • Experience working with automation tools, such as Terraform.
  • Experience with APM and log aggregation solutions.
  • Experience in effective use of issue tracking systems, such as Jira.
  • Experience working with git and CI/CD tools, such as AzureDevOps or Jenkins.
  • Have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with PCI compliance concepts and Fortinet Products (FortiGate, FortiWeb).
