Job Description

This role is ideal for an experienced forensic professional ready to take on greater responsibility in case leadership, client relationships, and team development within a litigation consulting practice focused exclusively on matrimonial and family law matters. The Director will work closely with practice leadership while managing engagements from initiation through expert testimony or settlement.

Role is based in Miami, Florida - individuals must be commutable to Miami or open to relocation.

Engagement Management

  • Lead and manage forensic engagements in matrimonial litigation, including business valuation, income analysis, lifestyle analysis, tracing of separate vs. marital property, and cash flow analysis.
  • Oversee day-to-day case workflow, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent matters.
  • Prepare and review work product to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide expert witness testimony and work closely with clients to build strong, lasting relationships.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff including analysts and associates.
  • Provide technical guidance and review work product for quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to staff training and professional development initiatives.

Technical Excellence

  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in forensic accounting standards, family law, tax implications in divorce, and relevant case law.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in forensic accounting or financial litigation consulting, with meaningful focus on matrimonial or family law matters.
  • Foundation of testifying experience required.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree.
  • Experience managing engagements and supervising junior staff.
  • Exposure to expert witness work and family law proceedings required.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to translate complex financial findings for legal audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA highly preferred; CFF, CVA, CDFA or CFE designation strongly preferred or actively in progress.
  • Masterโ€™s Degree.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Travel as needed.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $175,000 - $250,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
