As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Unto Life Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Document treatment processes meticulously, including creating case notes, updating treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care that resonates with our clients’ diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Utilize creative and evidence-based interventions to help clients recognize their strengths, set realistic goals, and celebrate their successes.
• Collaborate effectively with case managers, family members, medical staff, and educational professionals to coordinate holistic care for clients.
• Engage actively in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and training workshops, contributing ideas and insights to enhance the team's effectiveness.
• Embrace the unexpected by addressing other relevant tasks that further the mission of the organization.

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your role involves employing culturally competent practices and ensuring accessibility to all clients, including marginalized communities. To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active clinical license (LCPC) in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills both verbally and in written documentation.
• Show a strong ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients.
• Exhibit proficiency in meeting deadlines for documentation and other administrative tasks.
• Have a genuine desire to work within a diverse population and adapt approaches to meet individual client needs.

While a minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role is required, candidates with experience in outpatient settings, crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care will have a distinct advantage.
