Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized team focused on eating disorder recovery in Centreville, Virginia. This position will allow you to work remotely while engaging in a collaborative and supportive outpatient office setting. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the symptoms related to eating disorders and identify any co-occurring mental health issues, ensuring comprehensive understanding of each client’s treatment needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual assessments, collaborating with clients to set and achieve recovery goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in your practice.
• Facilitate therapy sessions designed to address clients’ distorted beliefs about food, body image, and self-worth, fostering a healthier relationship with themselves.
• Support clients in developing effective coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and strategies to manage disordered eating behaviors.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure cohesive care and address the holistic needs of each individual.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of eating disorders, enabling a supportive recovery environment.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans to comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous professional development to improve clinical skills relevant to eating disorder treatment.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with clients facing various forms of eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Understanding the complexities of these issues is crucial to providing effective therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Virginia.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, specifically related to eating disorder treatment.
• In-depth understanding of the multifaceted nature of eating disorders and associated co-occurring conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and trust with clients and their families.

A minimum of two years of clinical experience focusing on mental health counseling, particularly in the context of eating disorders is preferred. Familiarity with multidisciplinary approaches and treatment teams will be an advantage.
