Job description

Overview

The Senior Forecast Analyst, Business Unit Finance serves as the strategic finance partner to executive leadership and business unit leaders within a private equity-backed SaaS organization specializing in the multi-family housing industry. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, supporting value creation initiatives, and enabling scalable, profitable growth through disciplined planning, forecasting, and analysis. Operating in a PE-backed environment, this analyst brings a strong ownership mindset, a bias toward action, and a deep understanding of the financial levers that drive ARR & EBITDA growth, cash flow, and enterprise value.ย 

Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Business Partnershipย 

-ย Act as the primary finance partner to Insurance Business Unit leadership, supporting strategy, investment decisions, and operational executionย by framing decisions, risks, and trade-offs, not just presenting dataย - Translate business and PE value-creation strategies into actionable financial plans and performance targetsย -ย Lead development of forward-looking "what-if" scenarios to evaluate strategic choices, risks, and growth opportunities across the business unitย ย 

- Build flexible financial and operational models that allow executives to simulate outcomes under varying assumptions (market conditions, pricing, investments, cost structures)ย -ย Act as a thought partner, helping leaders clarify priorities, define success measures, and align on strategic directionย 

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysisย 

- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning for assigned business units in aย PE operating cadenceย - Own and enhance SaaS financial models, including ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin, and unit economicsย - Analyze performance drivers, variances, and trends with a focus on EBITDA, cash flow, and scalabilityย - Develop dashboards and reporting to monitor financial and operational KPIs aligned with PE objectivesย 

SaaS & Multi-Family Industry Economicsย 

- Partner with Product, Sales, and Revenue Operations on pricing, packaging, and monetization strategiesย - Evaluate customer segmentation, retention, and lifetime value across multi-family housing portfoliosย - Support deal structuring, contract analysis, and revenue recognition considerationsย - Incorporate industry-specific dynamics such as unit-based pricing models, property counts, seasonality, and regulatory considerationsย 

Operational Excellence & Value Creationย 

- Drive financial rigor, accountability, and scalable processes across the business unitย - Partner closely withย accountingย on close processes, accruals, and financial accuracyย - Support M&A activity, integrations, and post-acquisition performance tracking as applicableย - Identify and execute opportunities for margin expansion, cost efficiency, and operational leverageย 

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaborationย 

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations and Accountingย - Influence effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented PE-backed environmentย 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;ย - 5+ years of progressive finance experience, including strategic FP&A and business partnership rolesย - 2+ years of experience in SaaS or recurring-revenue business modelsย - Proven ability to support senior executives and influence business strategyย - Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and unit economicsย - Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skillsย - Strong executive-level communication and presentation capabilitiesย 

Preferredย 

- Experience inย PropTech, real estate technology, the multi-family housing industry, Insurance or Payment Processingย - Prior experience supporting M&A, integrations, or value-creation initiatives
