Remote Focus Group information

What is a remote focus group?

Remote focus groups are structured discussions conducted online with a selected group of participants to gather insights, opinions, or feedback about products, services, or concepts. These sessions are facilitated by a moderator and typically take place via video conferencing platforms, allowing participants to join from any location. Remote focus groups are widely used by companies and researchers because they save time and resources while still enabling rich, interactive discussions. They often include activities like group discussions, surveys, and screen sharing to collect qualitative data. Participation is usually compensated, either with cash, gift cards, or other incentives.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote focus group moderator?

To thrive as a Remote Focus Group Moderator, you need strong interpersonal skills, experience in qualitative research, and a background in social sciences or marketing. Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms, survey software, and recording tools is essential for managing discussions and collecting data. Excellent active listening, clear communication, and the ability to build rapport help participants feel comfortable and engaged. These abilities are crucial for eliciting honest feedback, ensuring productive sessions, and delivering valuable insights to clients.

What are common challenges in remote focus group roles, and how can they be addressed?

One common challenge in remote focus group roles is maintaining engagement and clear communication with both moderators and other participants, especially when relying solely on digital platforms. Technical issues, distractions in the home environment, and varying levels of comfort with virtual tools can also affect participation. To address these, it's important to test your equipment beforehand, find a quiet space, and familiarize yourself with the specific platform being used. Being proactive in contributing to discussions and following the moderator's guidelines will also help ensure a smooth and effective session.

We are committed to using technology to break down barriers preventing individuals from receiving the mental health support they deserve. As a progressive startup in the behavioral health field, we focus on cultivating an inclusive environment that prioritizes the needs of our clients and promotes their well-being.

Work Environment

The LPC position is fundamentally remote, allowing professionals the flexibility to work from the comfort of their home. However, your home workspace must ensure patient confidentiality and safety. You will collaborate within a supportive digital framework that includes instant access to clinical resources and a network of professionals for consultation and referrals. Our team values a healthy work-life balance, and you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule according to your caseload and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients, utilizing telehealth platforms to guide treatment plans.
  • Build and maintain a flexible schedule, selecting how many clients to see while leveraging our integrated client management tools.
  • Utilize marketing support and referral systems to enhance your caseload, enabling you to focus on delivering optimal care.
  • Provide live, customized support to both clients and fellow clinicians, addressing any barriers they may face in accessing services.
  • Instantly verify client insurance benefits and eligibility to prevent delays in care, fostering a seamless experience for clients and enhancing their mental health journey.
  • Collaborate with a peer group for regular consultation and supervision, further developing your skills and expertise in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients in various stages of mental health and substance use recovery. Our focus is on providing empathetic and culturally competent care to individuals who may face significant barriers to accessing traditional services. By utilizing telehealth, you will have the opportunity to reach clients across different geographical areas, ensuring that those who need help can get it, regardless of their location.

Qualifications
  • A current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in good standing.
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Professional Counseling, or a related field.
  • A professional workspace that allows for confidentiality and privacy during client sessions.
  • Ability to meet background and regulatory screening requirements.
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning for both behavioral health and substance use disorders.
  • Experience utilizing technology effectively, such as telehealth software and video conferencing tools, throughout client sessions.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with clients to help them achieve their personal goals.
  • Ability to implement comprehensive assessments and tailor treatment approaches based on individual client needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Certification in evidence-based practices, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Experience managing a varied caseload and navigating the challenges associated with telehealth delivery.
  • Prior experience in a community health clinic or similar setting.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000, dependent on your caseload and relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including administrative support in areas like scheduling, billing, and insurance processing.
  • Continuing education reimbursement, ensuring your professional development is continuously supported.
  • Flexible work schedule promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization.

At Zenith Wellness Group, we are committed to fostering your professional growth. We offer various pathways for advancement, whether through leadership opportunities, specialized training, or collaboration in community projects. Your development is paramount, and we encourage you to take initiative in your career while supporting you every step of the way.

Why Join Our Team
