This role is entirely remote, which allows for flexibility and convenience in your work setting. While most interactions will be virtual, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other mental health professionals to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for clients. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address clients’ unique needs.
• Performing initial assessments to gather relevant information and ongoing evaluations to track progress.
• Developing tailored treatment plans alongside clients, ensuring continuity of care and regular follow-up assessments.
• Participating in regular team meetings to contribute insights about client progress and collaboratively adjust treatment approaches.
• Monitoring clients’ progress throughout their therapeutic journey, providing feedback and adjustments to treatment as necessary.

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals navigating substance abuse and co-occurring mental health concerns, often exacerbated by relational dynamics. You will work to facilitate healing within family units and support couples striving for stronger bonds amidst challenges. Your expertise in marriage and family therapy will be pivotal in helping clients understand the relational aspects of their struggles and how they can create healthier interactions.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
• A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, without any suspension or probation.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within an outpatient setting, demonstrating strong clinical skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, with a natural talent for creating a calming and supportive therapeutic environment.

While not mandatory, we highly value experience with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) methodologies. Familiarity with this approach can greatly enhance the therapeutic experience for clients, enabling them to integrate mindfulness techniques into their recovery processes.
