• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health needs through interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized assessment tools to inform treatment planning.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment modalities addressing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief related to end-of-life issues, and chronic pain management.
• Lead daily psychotherapy group sessions, fostering a supportive environment where patients can share experiences and build coping skills.
• Provide insightful consultations to healthcare partners, advocating for psychological perspectives that enhance compassionate patient care and improve overall treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as organizational guidelines.

The primary focus of this LCSW role involves working with patients at a hospice center who are dealing with severe psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, thought disorders, and personality disorders. You will be instrumental in providing not only therapy but also support for patients and families grappling with the emotional ramifications of end-of-life care. Your expertise will facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to improve emotional resilience and quality of life during this critical phase.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work with a specialization relevant to mental health.
• An active and unrestricted LCSW license in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence-based practices for psychological treatment.

• Experience working with hospice or palliative care patients and understanding their unique challenges.
• Familiarity with documentation and compliance requirements specific to healthcare.
• Training in group therapy techniques and experience facilitating group sessions.
