Job description

We are seeking a driven and strategic sales leader to lead an established team covering the Upper Midwest region. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day sales activities, develop high-performing Account Managers, and drive profitable growth across Fluid Process markets including fluid handling, filtration, and process systems.
This position is based in the Great Lakes region and requires approximately 50% travel.
Essential Functions
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 Account Managers
  • Drive growth in revenue, market share, and profitability
  • Develop and execute district and territory sales plans
  • Support prospecting, customer engagement, quoting, and closing activities
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvement plans when needed
  • Build strong supplier and customer relationships
  • Partner with internal teams on inventory and strategic initiatives
  • Review forecasts, sales reports, and performance metrics

Experience, Education and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or related is preferred
  • 5+ years of distribution sales experience of industrial components. Experience selling components and services within Fluid Process markets (fluid systems, fluid handling, fluid filtration, etc.) is highly preferred
  • 3+ years of supervisory / management experience of an outside sales team
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, motivate, develop, and manage a sales team to profitable sales growth
  • Ability to drive productivity improvement and help account managers achieve higher sales levels
  • P&L familiarity, including the ability to work with and/or produce budgets, forecasts, sales reports, etc.
  • Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Computer proficiency is required including MS Office and the ability to learn and use a CRM system.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Overnight travel will be required
