Job description

Real people. Real service.
At SupplyHouse.com, we value every individual team member and cultivate a community where people come first. Led by our core values of Generosity, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork, and GRIT, we're dedicated to maintaining a supportive work environment that celebrates diversity and empowers everyone to reach their full potential. As an industry-leading e-commerce company specializing in HVAC, plumbing, heating, and electrical supplies since 2004, we strive to foster growth while providing the best possible experience for our customers.
We are looking for a Senior Fulfillment Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Operations Team. This individual will report into our Senior Manger, Continuous Improvement and is a seasoned Continuous Improvement practitioner who operates independently on the organization's most complex, high-impact improvement initiatives. As a senior individual contributor, this role leads network-wide process analysis, drives large cross-functional projects, and serves as a subject matter authority on Lean Six Sigma methodology and supply chain operations. The Senior Specialist brings analytical rigor and deep operational expertise to every engagement, setting the standard for quality, sustainability, and measurable results across the fulfillment center network. This individual understands how automation interacts with people and processes, and applies that knowledge to design improvements that are durable and scalable. This role also plays a key part in developing the broader Continuous Improvement community by mentoring colleagues and elevating team capabilities. This is a high-travel, hands-on role with significant time spent on the fulfillment center floor.
This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
This position will require travel up to 50% of the year, including to our Melville, NY headquarters up to 3 times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities, as well as frequent travel to our on-site fulfillment locations. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you're also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits - our doors are always open.
Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility
Base Salary: $92,440 - $115,550 per year
Responsibilities:
  • Lead network-wide process analysis and implement SOPs that drive consistency and reliability across fulfillment centers
  • Independently manage complex improvement projects from identification through sustainment - owning scope, approach, and outcomes
  • Design and evaluate pilot programs to validate new processes before full-scale rollout
  • Apply statistical analysis to validate improvement hypotheses and assess process capability
  • Develop KPIs and metrics to track and demonstrate supply chain improvement effectiveness
  • Establish and enforce control plans and sustainment mechanisms to protect gains and prevent regression after project close
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to implement and optimize automated systems including robotics, sorters, and conveyor, and technologies
  • Apply CI methodology to identify opportunities within automated workflows, reducing downtime, improving throughput, and increasing system reliability
  • Develop and maintain Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) programs for automated equipment and conveyance systems, including PM schedules, inspection checklists, and escalation protocols
  • Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics for automated systems and drive structured improvement actions when targets are missed
  • Lead sustainment reviews and audits to ensure automation-related improvements are maintained over time and embedded in standard work
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal technical teams to integrate CI principles into equipment commissioning, changeovers, and upgrades
  • Track and report on PM compliance, equipment reliability trends, and automation uptime as part of overall performance management
  • Apply advanced statistical methods to analyze process capability, validate hypotheses, and quantify improvement impact
  • Establish and maintain performance baselines; develop enterprise-level dashboards and reporting tools for senior stakeholder visibility
  • Translate voice of customer into measurable, data-driven performance metrics that inform prioritization and investment decisions
  • Ensure data integrity through partnerships with IT and analytics teams; optimize underlying analytics systems
  • Mentor and guide CI team members and cross-functional team members on tools, frameworks, and problem solving approaches
  • Effectively communicate complex CI insights and outcomes to senior stakeholders, adapting content and framing to audience
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and cross-functional workshops to drive rapid, structured problem-solving at scale
  • Drive adoption of improvements through structured change management and sustained stakeholder engagement
  • Represent the voice of the customer in prioritization and decision-making discussions with leadership
  • Manage projects from conception through execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and CI strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures across the network
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets; proactively manage risks and escalate blockers
  • Build sustainment into every project plan - defining ownership, audit cadence, and response protocols before project closure

Requirements:
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma certification, OR 3+ years of hands-on Lean Six Sigma experience in a complex operational environment
  • Proven track record independently leading end-to-end CI projects with measurable, sustained results
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and methods (e.g., Minitab, process capability, hypothesis testing)
  • Strong ability to communicate complex analytical findings to senior leadership and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events and leading structured problem-solving workshops

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Business, Analytics, or Engineering
  • Experience in supply chain, warehouse, or distribution center environments
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior CI practitioners
  • Experience with advanced data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and enterprise reporting
