Manager, New Gym Openings
REPORTS TO: Director, New Gym Openings
WORK LOCATION: Flexible/Remote with significant travel required (minimum 60-70%), weekends as needed; US East Coast preferred
YOUR IMPACT
As the New Gym Openings Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating, instructing, and providing guidance to club leaders and operations throughout every stage of new gym openings. In this role, your primary goal will be to achieve profitable outcomes before the new gym opens and up to 90 days of post-opening by directly overseeing and managing the daily operations of pre-sales and ramping gyms.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
New Gym Sales and Marketing Excellence & Performance
  • Drive alignment across the club teams on sales and marketing goals, tasks, roles and responsibilities, etc. at each stage of the new gym opening process.
  • Support marketing efforts for the gym's pre-sale phase, including social media, B2B marketing, and field marketing initiatives to generate awareness, interest, and build a customer base.
  • Assist in organizing events and promotions aimed at attracting members during the pre-sale phase, helping to drive awareness and memberships.
  • Working with the relevant Directors, lead and support the promotion of fitness services.
  • Oversee and ensure the gym meets sales KPIs during the pre-sale phase, driving accountability and communicating progress to hit agreed on membership and sales targets.

New Gym Operational Excellence & Performance
• Drive alignment across the club teams on operational support needs, timing/schedule, roles, responsibilities, etc. at each stage of the new gym opening process.
• Collaborate with the Directors of Group Fitness and Personal Training to ensure the personal training & group fitness programs are ready to launch in time for the gym's opening.
• Conduct training sessions (3) for operational leadership and gym staff, covering essential sales and operations processes.
• Review, communicate, and manage pre-opening checklists, communication with club leaders, and follow-up with vendors to ensure all operational processes are in place before the gym opens.
• Ensure all operational and sales efforts are functioning smoothly leading up to and after the gym's opening.
• Provide administrative support with all systems and processes via pre-opening checklists, club leadership communication, and vendor follow-up.
Leadership & Brand Alignment
• Serve as a mentor and resource to club teams, promoting a culture of accountability, inclusivity, continuous improvement and high performance.
• Ensure consistency in the delivery of Crunch's values, mission, and member experience.
• Promote and uphold Crunch's brand standards, delivering a consistent, high-quality experience across all locations.
• Act as a brand ambassador, fostering community engagement, and enhancing Crunch's reputation and customer loyalty.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• New gym achievement of aligned pre-sales and marketing goals
• New gym achievement of aligned ramp up goals
• New gym operational readiness (On time launch, trained staff, integrated service offerings, branding and compliance implementation)
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• Minimum of 2-3 years of sales and/or marketing experience
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the fitness industry
• Willingness to travel a minimum 60-70% to new locations and corporate offices
• As needed availability on weekends for special events
• Proven experience in managing a team in a fitness-related role
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
• Experience in managing and executing events and promotions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• High energy and enthusiasm with a passion for fitness and new gym openings
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
