Job description

EoS Fitness is seeking a highly motivated and sales driven leader to take on the role of Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales). As an Assistant Fitness Manager, you will primarily focus on conducting welcome workouts with new members, guiding them through their initial fitness experiences at our gym, and helping them get started with a personal training program. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, the Assistant Fitness Manager will play a crucial role in driving personal training sales and fostering member relationships. This position involves working closely with our membership and personal training team to sell training packages and provide exceptional service to our members. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for fitness, a desire to win, and a proven track record of achieving results.

Position Purpose: Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members receive exceptional fitness experience.

Core Purpose: To create loyal, lifelong fans and exercise practitioners.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily targets are met, particularly during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is not present, by leading the team and driving sales initiatives. 
  • Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building strong rapport with members.  
  • Achieve sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals. 
  • Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, driving sales initiatives, and establishing a smooth transition into the club experience. 
  • Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals. 
  • Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention and engagement. 
  • Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and continuous support.  
  • Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities. 
  • Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper certifications, and implementing safety protocols. 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of customer service experience.
  • 1 year of sales experience.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with members, personal training clients, employees, management, and vendors.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions.
  • Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must have a valid Personal Training certification
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work in a gym setting; move about gym floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public
  • Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.
  • Ability to access and operate the Company computer system including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, read reports from a computer data base or email system
