Visual Design Business Strategist / Storyteller – UX Innovation Studio

Location: Fully remote (U.S.)

Preference for candidates based in: New York, NY / Plano, TX / Chicago, IL

Overview

We are supporting one of our Fortune 500 clients in there initiative for a next-generation UX Innovation Studio design to rapidly transform ideas into tangible, scalable product concepts. This team operates as both a UX transformation catalyst and a strategic innovation partner, compressing the timeline from idea to MVP-ready prototype into weeks.

We are seeking a Visual Design Business Strategist / Storyteller—a hybrid thinker across design, product, and business—who ensures that every concept is not only compelling, but defensible, fundable, and strategically aligned.

Key Responsibilities

Shape and articulate the business case behind concepts and prototypes

Build early stakeholder trust, alignment, and buy-in

Translate design outputs into clear, ROI-driven narratives

Partner closely with design, product, and engineering teams to ensure feasibility

Lead client-facing discussions, workshops, and executive presentations

Identify and define value levers (revenue, efficiency, engagement, cost savings)

Conduct targeted research to support positioning and differentiation

Define success metrics and measurable outcomes

Anticipate business and technical constraints

Guide storytelling from vision to execution to impact

Act as a trusted advisor to innovation leadership

Required Qualifications

10+ years in strategy, product, innovation, or related roles

Proven success in client-facing, high-impact environments

Experience influencing funding decisions and driving business value

Strong facilitation skills (workshops, stakeholder sessions)

Experience working across design, product, and technology teams

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Highly collaborative, team-first mindset

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
