What is a remote fingerprint analyst?

Remote fingerprint analysts are professionals who examine and compare fingerprint evidence from a distance, typically using secure digital platforms. They analyze fingerprint images submitted electronically by law enforcement agencies to identify individuals or verify identities. Remote work allows these analysts to provide their expertise without being physically present in a laboratory or police department. Their work plays a crucial role in criminal investigations, background checks, and identity verification processes. They must maintain strict confidentiality and follow established forensic standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote fingerprint analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Fingerprint Analyst, you need expertise in fingerprint identification, knowledge of forensic science principles, and typically a background in criminal justice or forensic technology. Familiarity with Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS), digital imaging software, and relevant forensic databases is essential. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear written communication are critical soft skills for accurately analyzing and reporting findings. These skills and qualifications are vital to ensure precise, reliable results that support law enforcement and legal proceedings.

How does a remote fingerprint analyst collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other team members while working off-site?

As a remote fingerprint analyst, you will regularly interact with law enforcement agencies and internal forensic teams through secure digital platforms. Communication is typically managed via encrypted emails, video conferences, and specialized case management systems to ensure data security and accuracy. While you may work independently on fingerprint analysis, collaboration for case discussions, quality assurance, and reporting findings is an integral part of the role. You'll need to be proactive in keeping lines of communication open and maintaining detailed documentation to support case reviews and audits.

Job description

**Any applicants without a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification will NOT be considered**
Ready to change lives from your couch (or wherever you like)? Coyne & Associates is calling! Join us as a Remote Bilingual BCBA Program Supervisor-where you'll make a big impact on little lives, all while enjoying the perks of remote work (hello, pajama pants!).
Qualifying candidates must have held a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification for at least three years and demonstrate fluency in Spanish.
Why Coyne?
We've been making a difference for over 20 years, but we're still small enough that you'll never feel like just another cog in the machine. With about 300 employees, you'll actually get to know your team, collaborate, and be part of a close-knit, meaningful environment. We're also owned by BCBAs, which means we understand exactly what you need to thrive in this role.
We've got some serious bragging rights too: one of the highest-rated ABA agencies on Glassdoor and a multi-year Top Workplace™ winner, including 2023 Top Workplace™ USA. Plus, we don't just train our staff-we train them right. Your technicians won't be stuck behind a screen for their training; they'll be in the home, learning hands-on in real-life sessions. And yes, they get paid their full rate during training (because we know how to keep great people around!).
What's in it for you?
  • Competitive Pay: $88,000 - $95,000/year (DOE)-because excellence deserves compensation.
  • Work-Life Balance that Works: Manageable caseloads mean you can actually have a life outside of work.
  • Monthly Team Meetings: Focused convos and open-floor collaboration-because we're all in this together.
  • Dedicated Scheduling Team: You handle the supervision, they handle the scheduling. Less stress, more success.
  • Up to 22 days of PTO per year + 10 paid holidays-plenty of time to recharge.
  • A shiny new MacBook and iPhone.
  • Paid Professional Development & free CEUs-keep learning without spending.
  • A supportive, compassionate team that celebrates every win (and trust us, there will be a lot of them).
Your Role:
Even though you'll be 100% remote, you'll still oversee in-home programs for kids, making sure they're getting the best possible care. And yes, you might need to swing by for occasional in-person training (Safety-Care, onboarding), but day-to-day? You call the shots from home. Programs typically run from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Saturday.
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English-you can toggle between both effortlessly.
  • BCBA-certified for at least 3 years (you've got the experience to lead).
  • You're a case management master-handling kids from 12 months to 12 years with confidence, no matter the challenges.
  • You reside in Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone or Mountain Standard Time (MST) zone. Southern California residency is highly preferred.
The Fine Print:
  • Must submit a transcript showing your Master's degree & BCBA Certification
  • Willing to submit fingerprints for DOJ and FBI clearance (we'll cover it).
  • Keep your TB test and BLS training up-to-date.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and all relevant safety, hiring, and discrimination laws (because we do things by the book).

At Coyne, we've got over two decades of experience, but we're still small enough that your contributions matter. If you're ready to join a flexible, remote team that truly values you, your skills, and your work-life balance, apply today!
Compensation: Pay range represents a good-faith estimate the Company reasonably expects to pay at time of hire. Based on position, employees may also be eligible for incentives, drive time pay, mileage reimbursement, overtime pay in accordance with state and federal laws, last minute cancellation pay, 401k benefits, health benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and paid sick leave in accordance with state and local laws.
