Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Discovery Mood Clinical Services, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to address a range of emotional and behavioral issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s specific goals and therapeutic needs, incorporating input from other healthcare providers when necessary.
• Utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapy, to promote effective coping strategies.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring accountability in care delivery.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, offering insights for coordinated care and discussing client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Representing discovery mood clinical services at community outreach initiatives, fostering relationships with local organizations, and raising awareness about mental health resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing mental health crises, couples navigating relational hardships, and families seeking guidance. Our clients may present with various mental health challenges such as mood disorders, PTSD, and substance abuse issues. A strong adherence to cultural competency and sensitivity towards each client’s unique background is essential to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid and unrestricted independent licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating engagement with a variety of patient populations.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, or substance use counseling will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth practices and virtual therapy tools will also be advantageous, as our organization employs innovative technologies to enhance patient engagement.
