Key Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention services, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling, addressing clients' immediate concerns while equipping them with tools for long-term coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric professionals, to coordinate care plans that provide holistic support to clients.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate client records in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professional integrity are upheld at all times.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development by staying current on the latest research, best practices, and methodologies in the field of mental health counseling.
  • Participate actively in regular supervision sessions, training, and team meetings to foster an environment of continuous improvement and mutual support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base primarily consists of veterans and their families who face unique challenges related to mental health. The LPC will work with clients managing issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders, among others. This role requires sensitivity to the specific needs of our military community, emphasizing an understanding of their background and experiences.

Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
  • An active and independent LPC license issued by the state board, allowing for the provision of mental health services without supervision.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports as needed.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating collaboration and cooperative working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying ideas clearly and effectively across diverse audiences.

Preferred Experience
