Summary:

The Insurance Strategy & Business Analytics Analyst is responsible for evaluating growth opportunities, conducting market and financial analyses, and developing business cases that support strategic decision-making. This role combines financial modeling, data analytics, industry research, and regulatory analysis to assess potential investments, new products, and lines of business within Huntington Insurance. The ideal candidate is highly curious, analytical, and motivated to explore new opportunities and innovative solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present business cases to evaluate new insurance products, services, and lines of business.
  • Analyze market opportunities and identify areas for expansion, revenue growth, and competitive advantage.
  • Evaluate key business drivers, operating models, and compensation structures within targeted insurance segments.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, including 5-year pro forma projections and return-on-investment analyses.
  • Perform quantitative analysis using large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and investment insights.
  • Conduct market research to size opportunities, assess market share potential, and evaluate competitive landscapes.
  • Research insurance industry trends, emerging risks, and market developments.
  • Analyze regulatory requirements and assess their impact on business strategies and investment decisions.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management teams to ensure business recommendations align with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Prepare analytical reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Translate complex data and research findings into clear insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide modeling, analytics, and research support for executive presentations, investment proposals, and growth initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics, financial analysis, corporate strategy, insurance analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, distribution models, compensation structures, and revenue drivers.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements and compliance considerations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Experience developing business cases, investment analyses, and long-range financial projections.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience conducting market research and industry analysis.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
