This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while still providing high-quality mental health services. Counseling sessions are conducted through telehealth platforms, which ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations while facilitating seamless communication with clients. Despite being remote, our team engages regularly through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms to maintain a tight-knit community.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and histories.
• Developing and monitoring personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the treatment team.
• Carrying out the client intake process, ensuring all required information is gathered to aid in effective treatment.
• Facilitating individual, group, and family counseling sessions, providing a safe and supportive space for clients to express themselves.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including clinical directors and fellow counselors to ensure integrated care delivery.
• Identifying maladaptive behaviors and discussing strategies to manage addictions or crises effectively.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcome data, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Conducting random drug screenings when applicable, and following up with appropriate therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid social work license as required by Washington state regulations (LPC, LMFT, LICSW).
• No history of malpractice claims, verified through third-party checks.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
• An outwardly professional demeanor when interacting with clients and their families.

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be preferred:

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in outpatient settings or conducting telehealth counseling.
• A background or specialization in dealing with addiction or dual diagnosis clients.
