• Conduct thorough evaluations of mental health diagnoses, and develop, implement, and assess treatment plans in line with best practices and company policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions, including therapy notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
• Deliver significant customer service and engage in collaborative efforts with a diverse, inclusive team, focusing on bridging gaps in mental health services in our community.
• Utilize innovative and creative interventions to assist clients in meeting and surpassing their personal goals, tailoring approaches to individual client needs.
• Coordinate treatment efforts with various stakeholders, including case managers, families, educational staff, and other health care providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in ongoing training and clinical staff meetings to both share knowledge and stay updated on best practices within the field.
• Adhere to any additional tasks that are integral to the role and contribute to our collective mission.

This role centers on providing therapeutic support to a broad spectrum of individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. The ideal counselor will be comfortable engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Understanding and respecting cultural differences is essential for building rapport and ensuring effective communication with our clients.

• A master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active clinical licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for documentation and client interaction.
• Proven ability to establish stable, professional boundaries with clients, fostering a safe therapeutic environment.
• Effective time management skills to ensure timely completion of documentation and adherence to scheduled appointments.
• Experience and comfort in working with a diverse client population, showcasing cultural competency.

• Two or more years of relevant clinical experience, providing direct mental health counseling in similar settings.
• Previous experience in outpatient therapy and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of community resources and support systems to better aid client recovery.
